- Description of a method of understanding prior-knowledge of students.
- KWL chart or have students have a discussion about what they already know about the subject.
- Discussion on the importance of establishing anchors for a project.
- by establishing anchors, you gain a sense of where students are starting and how far they are going as they work to meet learning goals. This helps the teacher develop a plan to help be successful on what needs to be taught or what can be expanded on in the lesson plan.
- Description of several ways to assess what students learned during the project.
- model real-world
- contest
- submit for publication
- classroom projects
- Discussion on how concepts in this chapter relate to your topic/project.
- This chapter helps us to see that it is important to make sure all students are prepared for a unit and make sure that what is planned is at the right level for the certain students in your class. I liked in this chapter the different ways to "test" what the students learned from the topic/activities.
